Prompt #5: Trust + Shudder
Hello Writers and Journalers,
Trust and Shudder are your words for today’s journaling prompt. Feel free to let this combo inspire some fiction writing, if that’s your thing.
You take your pen, you take your notebook – you don’t need to get fancy – and you write what comes to mind. Thoughts, feelings, memories. Any silly or seemingly pointless or portentously serious stuff that wants to show itself on the page will do.
The goal is three handwritten pages, but some days require more from you to get to the chewy center and some days take less. Sometimes a word prompt is a three-pager. That’s what you want to go for. But sometimes it’s a one-pager or a two-pager. And sometimes you’ll sit here and write four to six pages. Whatever you do, enjoy it.
Getting back to basics is a good way to move yourself through writers block. For newbies, journaling can be a fantastic way to grow into your creative identity.
