Prompt #27: Repose + Lackluster

Prompt #27: Repose + Lackluster

Hello Writers and Journalers,

Today’s two-word prompt is Repose and Lackluster. This is going to take some creative thinking, maybe. It might require sitting with these words for a couple of minutes and thinking about ideas, memories, thoughts, wondering what is repose and what would be a lackluster repose. What is lackluster and how does repose work with lackluster? It’s a challenge.

These are journaling prompts to give you something to write about when you’re not sure how to begin or you’re overwhelmed by possibilities. You can begin with these words, and you can even say, “These words are ridiculous. I don’t like these words. These words don’t work for me.”

And then, when you get that off your chest, go ahead and write, “What I really want to say is …”

Again, this combo might require a little extra time to think or feel your way into using them or, rather, using the idea of them. If they leave you uninspired, go ahead and write down how these two words ignite nothing for you. Then, write “what I really want to say is …” and follow where your pen takes you.

You’re worth it.
