Prompt #57: Vocal + Conquest
Hello Writers and Journalers,
Today’s two-word prompt is Vocal and Conquest. This is a very powerful combination in the context of journaling, and I will tell you why. When you are in an emotional state, in reaction to something that’s happening or something around you has triggered emotions that might be borrowed from the past, clarity is difficult. Conquering, or making a conquest out of a debate or negotiation or conflict is really challenging. You might get shut down with words like, “You’re off the deep end,” “You’re being dramatic,” or “You’re hysterical.”
When you turn to your journal and you let it rip in your Daily Pages. You can be vocal. You can and be all the crazy, all the dramatic, and all over the place. Let it out on paper, you can breathe, go back, really look at what you want to say and why you want to say it, get that clarity, and make a conquest out of that conflict.
