Prompt #20: Contrary + Forgiveness
Hello Writers and Journalers,
Today’s two-word prompt is brought to you by Mowgli (my Siamese cat) and me. While I was recording the daily reel, he would not be quiet (he’s a Siamese cat) and he would not stay off my lap or my desk (he’s a cat). Right after I hit record, he scrambled from my lap to my desk and got into the Magic Box of Words.
Unironically, today’s two-word prompt is Contrary and Forgiveness, which suits Mowgli just fine. He was being Contrary and he was going to need some Forgiveness. I ended up having to hold him in my arms to finish recording. Believe me, I tried to get through it with him in the background, but he refused to be anywhere but in front of the camera (did I mention he’s a cat?).
Do you ever find that your intentions to journal get sidetracked – or your intentions to do anything in life get sidetracked – by other beings? Beings that you choose to have in your life because you love them and you want to give them attention and you want to cuddle with them, but there’s only so much time to get things done?
Talk about that in your journal today. Talk about the choices that you make that interrupt things in your life, interrupt your goals, but they’re choices that you would never give up.
