Prompt #83: Tether & Flounder
Hello Writers and Journalers,
Today’s two-word prompt is Tether and Flounder. I’m going to take this opportunity to show you what I mean when I say you can take the opposite of a word and work with that if it rings true in a better way for you.
When I talk about my Daily Pages and journaling and what it does for me, one of the things I say is that when I don’t do it, I feel untethered.
When I am consistently doing it, I don’t feel tethered. That doesn’t work. But feeling untethered works when I’m not doing it. And I don’t know if that makes sense to you, but it makes sense to me, and that’s what matters.
Things have to make sense to you in this process.
When I’m feeling untethered, because I haven’t been checking in with myself and staying on top of details and really engaging with my own reality and schedule and everything, I flounder.
So. That’s how you use the opposite.
