Prompt #23: Spend + Seize

Hello Writers and Journalers,

Today’s two-word prompt is Spend and Seize. Mowgli co-hosted again. Sigh. He’s a Siamese cat and he wants allll of the attention. If he doesn’t get it, he will yowl in the background and walk on the desk, knocking things askew, as one does, because he can. And he did.

I post a fresh two-word prompt combo every day – sometimes with Mowgli’s help and sometimes with his bland stare and no more – and if you’re wondering where they come from, how I come up with such odd combinations or obvious combinations, and it seems random, that’s because it is random.

Something else decides what these word combinations are. I pull them from the Magic Box of Words or I ask AI or the next person I see to give me a pair of numbers between 1 and 700. I have a master list with that many words, in random order. The random numbers I get from other sources correspond with words on my list, et voila! A fresh, unpredictable two-word prompt is born.

Do you need to use these words to have a successful journaling session? No. But it’s a pretty interesting starting point, don’t you think?
