Prompt #19: Evoke + Courage
Hello Writers and Journalers,
Today, I dove into the Magic Box of Words in front of the camera again, so people could see that this is indeed a random selection. The Magic Box of Words is a tin that contains a whole bunch of words written on individual slips of paper. I pull two words from the tin, without looking, et voila! That’s the day’s two-word prompt.
This works really well for journaling because each combination triggers a different set of ideas, thoughts, or memories. For example, if I pull Intention and Conflict, that’s going to trigger a whole set of thoughts, feelings, ideas, or memories than Intention and Resolution, or Intention and Silly, or Intention and Success.
So. What’s today’s combination and how can they work together?
Today’s two-word prompt is Evoke and Courage. I love this combination. You can use it to open up new thoughts and feelings about yourself and where you’re courageous and where you could use a little help with that.
Or you could do something completely different with this awesome combination! Write three pages in your journal and see what comes up for you.
If you slip into a negative space, take a deep breath, stand up and stretch if you can, and return to the page with a different intention. Write from a fresh mindset.
If it’s really difficult to change your thoughts about yourself in this moment, make something up; play with fiction. Invent a character and imagine them in a situation that uses Evoke and Courage.
I’d love to hear how journaling is going for you and whether these daily prompts work for you.
