Prompt #11: Deliver + Friendship
Hello Writers and Journalers,
Today, I pulled the words out of the Magic Box of Words live and in color, right in front of the camera. It was a little messier than I thought it would be, but that’s what you get when you stuff a tin full of a bunch of slips of paper and yank the lid off with a little too much nervous energy. Words flew everywhere!
But I managed to hold onto the two I reached for (blindly) and here they are: Deliver and Friendship.
That’s how we ended up with a repeat word again. My master list has 700 words, but the tin only has about 40, so repeats are more frequent. C’est la vie. Let’s get on with it.
Last time, Friendship was paired with Navigation. Today, it’s paired with Deliver, and this combination immediately sparks a completely different set of thoughts and feelings and memories that I can write about than the pairing of Friendship and Navigation did.
This is going to be a fun one for me, in particular. I would love to know what you think of it.
I do want you to know that you can just do one word if you want. But if you are feeling resistance about either word, that’s a good sign that that’s the word you want to focus on or begin with.
Then what?
Maybe start by talking about Deliver, but only in the context of Friendship, and you run out of steam after a page. Swap it up. Use it in reverse. What hits the page when you think of Friendship, but only in the context of Deliver?
Enjoy the process.
