Write on the Rails

Embark on a unique writing adventure

One great writing retreat, three different dates:

The Zephyr and the Mill:
March 28-March 31
Write on Track:
June 20-June 23
Write on the Rails: Nov 7-Nov 10

Imagine yourself on the upper level of Amtrak’s California Zephyr as she winds her way across the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range to Reno.

Let the crisp light and deep shadows of the day enhance your sense of adventure as they play hide and seek up and down the mountains, racing each other along the rivers and ravines just outside your window, inviting you to lose yourself in the magic of your own literary work in progress.

Each of my train & resort writing retreats feature seven writing sessions, three dinner discussions, three Proof of Writes, and one optional on-site 1:1 private coaching session.

The Zephyr & The Mill: $1500 – Also includes travel aboard Amtrak’s Zephyr, a private room at The Peppermill, and one group dinner. Does not include other meals or incidentals.

Bronwyn’s retreats give the opportunity for me to reconnect with my creative self. There is enough structure to keep me on task and enough concentrated time to write that I produce a ton of work. She fosters a community of writers who can inspire and motivate each other, while also providing prompts, tips, and encouragement herself. I come away from retreats with a sense of accomplishment and also enthusiasm to keep going.

Bronwyn’s retreats have always been incredibly helpful and productive for me. She provides a framework of support that’s there if you get stuck or need extra motivation, balanced with flexibility for independent work. I’ve been on many retreats with Bronwyn, but the Reno retreat is my favorite because the train provides extra opportunities to write, and the beautiful scenery going over the mountains is an inspiring bonus.

Train Retreats are for Adventurous Writers

This retreat is so popular, I’m hosting three versions this year. The Zephyr and The Mill, through City Extension at CCSF, in late March, Write on Track in mid-June, and Write on the Rails in early November. The goal is success as you define it, and the schedule has proven its effectiveness time and again since 2017. Join us to find out what 4 days away from the everyday, writing in the company of other writers, can do for you, your muse, and your creative process.

Newbies are required to meet with me on Zoom and check out at least two free To Live & Write activities before making a financial commitment to any of my retreats.
