Prompt #60: Worth + Disregard
Hello Writers and Journalers,
Today’s prompt is Worth and Disregard. I love this kind of pairing because you can treat it one of two ways:
First, you can take a look at how you may or may not be disregarding someone or something’s worth in your life and figure out what that’s about. You have to ask yourself questions like, “What is this about? Why am I feeling and thinking this way?”
And second, and more importantly, you can also use this prompt as an opportunity to look at your own sense of worth, and whether you are disregarding it in specific situations or in general. This is something I personally have struggled with, or used to struggle with, for many, many years.
So. This is not an easy one and this is not a one-journaling-session situation. However, it’s a good place to start.
When you journal consistently, and check in with yourself, and play with your thoughts and opinions and memories, and experiment with looking at things a different way or really validating yourself, using your own voice to validate yourself, you understand, or begin to understand, your own worth. And you stop disregarding it.
I would love for you to do that.
